Dr Audrius Simaitis

Dr Simaitis has served as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Cornwall Hospital (RCH) for over 15 years and is the Clinical Governance Lead for Cardiology at RCH.

He has held multiple previous positions, including Head of Cardiology Department in Lithuania, Cardiology Interventional Lead at RCH, Cardiology Specialty Lead (RCH), and Peninsula Medical School Lead for Cardiology (RCH).

Dr Simaitis also holds a PhD degree in investigating and treating early atherosclerosis of coronary arteries.

Away from the clinic Dr Simaitis is a keen cyclist, training all year to enjoy the Alpine challenge in June and his signature event, L’Etape.

Dr Simaitis also is a key contributor to Phil Cavell’s “Midlife cyclist” providing cardiology expertise. This book will be published in June 2021.
