Dr Samy Karikalan Kandasamy

Dr Karikalan Kandasamy is a Consultant Cardiologist practicing at Royal Cornwall Hospital and Duchy Hospital in Cornwall.

He has been practicing Cardiology for the last 25 years and is experienced in managing   variety of  heart illness related symptoms including chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness, leg swelling, dizziness and blackouts. He also specialises in investigation for Cardiac abnormalities that could cause stroke  and is also experienced in looking after adult patients with congenital heart disease.

He undertakes Complex Cardiac imaging procedures and leads the imaging department in Royal Cornwall Hospital. He is also experienced in implanting Loop Recorders, Pacemakers and Intracardiac Defibrillators and proficient in Complex echocardiography.

Dr Kandasamy  firmly believes in patient centred approach and offers personalised care for  all his patients.

He is a member of European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging and is accredited in Transthoracic and Transoesophageal echocardiography and in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology.
